The investigating officer of the case, Inspector (Operation) of Dhanmondi Model Police Station, Rabiul Islam Babul, filed this application seeking a seven-day remand.

On Thursday (November 10) in the presence of Babul Akhtar, the remand hearing will be held in the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court. Then there will be a remand hearing. Meanwhile, Babul Akhtar has been brought from Feni jail to Dhaka’s Keraniganj jail.

PBI Dhaka Metro North Superintendent of Police Jahangir Alam filed a complaint against four people at Dhanmondi police station on behalf of the plaintiff Banaj Kumar Majumder on September 27 evening. The case is charged under the Digital Security Act and the Special Powers Act. The other two defendants in the case are Babul Akhter’s brother Md. Habibur Rahman Labu and father Md. Abdul Wadud Mia.
