Dhaka Bureau: The Election Commission (EC) is directly monitoring the polling situation in local government elections, including the by-elections in Dhaka’s 17 constituencies.
On Monday (July 17), the election commissioners are monitoring the polling situation from the observation center set up in the election building of Agargaon in the capital. Senior officials are with them. 853 polling booths in 124 centers of Dhaka-17 Constituency, 119 polling booths in 12 centers of Bonapole Municipality, and 86 CC cameras in 9 centers of Bhandaria Municipality are monitoring the polling situation.
Polling started today at 8 a.m. and will continue until 4 p.m. Senior Election Commissioner said before the start of voting. Ahsan Habib Khan came to monitor the polls on CC cameras. Later, others came.
