Dhaka Bureau: The government has suspended all government officials from traveling abroad. However, one can go for Master’s PhD and professional training with the funding of any government, organization or university abroad.
On Wednesday (November 9), Deputy Secretary of Finance Department of the Ministry of Finance. This suspension was given in a circular signed by Touhidul Islam.
According to the circular, in the context of the current global economic situation, under the management and development budget of the government, all types of foreign travel of all levels of officials of ministries, departments, other institutions and subordinate directorates, departments, autonomous, semi-autonomous organizations, public sector corporations and state-owned companies are not re-ordered. Will be closed until given. Besides, self-financed foreign travel of all types by autonomous, semi-autonomous bodies, public sector corporations and state-owned companies will be stopped.
The circular further states that with the approval of the authorities, foreign governments, development partners, university-funded Masters and PhD courses can be studied under scholarships or fellowships or specialized/professional training/seminars can be attended.
