Dhaka Bureau: India’s Foreign Ministry Secretary (East), Saurabh Kumar, has arrived in Dhaka. He came to Dhaka to discuss the Bay of Bengal Initiative Formality-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) issue.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the information about his arrival in Dhaka on Thursday (July 6) morning.
Sourav was welcomed at the airport by the Director General of the South Asia Division of the Ministry of External Affairs, Rakibul Haque, and the High Commissioner of India in Dhaka, Prannoy Verma. Sourav will meet with Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Masood Bin Momen during his visit to Dhaka.
In the meeting, they will discuss the preparations for the BIMSTEC ministerial meeting to be held in Thailand on July 17. Later, Saurabh will go to the BIMSTEC office.
