Entertainment Desk: The song, titled ‘Kita Baisab Balani, was released on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Souls. It is a popular song of the Sylhet region that has been rearranged by Souls. This is the first time in the group’s history of 50 years that it has appeared outside Chittagong with a regional song.

Partha Barua has given voice to the song. Partha Barua told the media, ‘A few days ago we unveiled the logo of the band on the occasion of the 50th anniversary. At that time, I had about 50 songs and several arrangements. His journey is through this song in Sylhet. In this way, I will continue to publish songs on the Souls page. As there will be original creations, I will also try to bring out popular songs.

According to Souls sources, the original creator of the song was found on the third day after its release. Late Baul Sadhak Wahidur Rahman Khan of Sylhet Biyanibazar wrote and sang this song decades ago. Wahidur Rahman Khan’s son, who lives in the United States, confirmed this to Souls. However, the team leader, Partha Barua, has consciously called for listening to the song ‘Kita Baisab Balani’ with a forgiving eye.

In his words, ‘None of us in the party is from Sylhet. Our main language is Chattanooga. This is the first time I sang in the Sylhet language. Souls’ first album, ‘Super Souls, was released in 1982. It was one of the most popular albums in country music history.
