Banskhali representative: In Banskhali upazila of Chittagong, in East Raichha village of Khankhanabad Union, due to an argument over a land dispute, was attacked by the opponents. An Awami League leader named Md. Kaiser (40) was killed. In this incident, the police raided. Akbar (35), Mejbah Uddin (19), and Alam Noor (65) have been arrested.
The attack took place on Friday (June 2) around 7 p.m. in the Ekram Mia Ghata area of Ward No. 9 of Khankhanabad Union. In this regard, the brother of the deceased has filed a case as the plaintiff.
SI Mujibur Rahman of Baharchhara Police Investigation Center said, A man named Md. Kaiser (40) died. The dead body has been prepared and sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy. There was a long-standing land dispute between the slain Kaisers and the Akbar Gongs. It is known that the attack occurred due to a dispute over land.
President of Khankhanabad Union Awami League Nazrul Islam said that the deceased Md. Kaiser (40) was the Vice President of the Union Awami League. Rayazuddin of the city used to trade chicken in the market. On Friday, when he was sitting in front of the office of the ward office and chatting, the opponent’s people came and attacked him due to previous enmity. He was seriously injured, fell to the ground, and died. He has two children.
Kamrul Islam, a UP member of Ward No. 9 of Khankhanabad Union, said that Omar Ali’s son, Md. Alam Nur’s son, is with Kaiser. There was a dispute with Akbar. The deceased person Kaiser was previously arrested in the case, served 3 months in jail, was released a few days ago, and came to the area.
Kamal Uddin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Banskhali police station, said that one person died in Raichta village of Khankhanabad union due to previous enmity. Three people have been arrested for their involvement in the operation. A complaint has been lodged at the police station by the family of the deceased.
