Dhaka Bureau: The High Court rejected the appeals of BNP Standing Committee member Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku and BNP leader Aman Ullah Aman and his wife Sabera Aman in separate corruption cases and upheld the judgment of the trial court.
On Tuesday (May 30), Justice Md. The High Court bench of Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Khizir Hayat announced the verdict. They have also been asked to surrender to the court within two weeks of the verdict.
BNP Standing Committee member Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tukur’s appeal against his sentence in the corruption case last May 17 has been fixed for Tuesday (May 30).
On the other hand, on May 14, the re-hearing of the appeal in the High Court ended by canceling the acquittal of BNP leader Aman Ullah Aman and his wife Sabera Aman in the corruption case.
