At the time, the minister added that many countries and international organizations had feared that famine would occur in Bangladesh due to Corona. But due to state policies and public-private initiatives, the country has not faced a food shortage despite the epidemic. Rather, there is a food surplus in some areas. We are making maximum use of natural resources. As a result, food products such as rice, wheat, corn, fish, meat, milk, and eggs have been produced, and their quality is so good that different countries are now importing many things from Bangladesh. Fish produced in Bangladesh is now exported to 52 countries around the world. Many countries in the world want to import meat from Bangladesh. Various types of food products produced in the country are spreading to different parts of the world.
He further added that medicines produced in Bangladesh are being exported to many countries around the world. There has been incredible development in the field of mechanization in the pharmaceutical industry. The development in the country’s health care and other research is a wonder to the world.
Sh. Rezaul Karim also said that currently, the rate of infant mortality and maternal mortality has decreased in the country, and the average life expectancy has increased. One of the reasons for this is that the government is able to provide nutritious food in the country, provide proper medical services, and provide other necessary support for the peace of the people. The country’s health system was once endangered at the marginal level. Now the health and sanitation systems have been greatly improved at the marginal level.
Highlighting the development of the country, the minister said Padma Bridge, Karnaphuli Tunnel, Metrorail, Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar modern rail link, road system—what is happening in Bangladesh with his own money No person in the country lives for lack of food, and no person dies for lack of treatment.
