Dhaka Bureau: Army Chief General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed went to Saudi Arabia on an official visit at the invitation of Commander of the Royal Saudi Land Forces Lt. Gen. Fad bin Abdullah Al-Motair.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed in a press release that the army chief had left for Saudi Arabia on Tuesday (May 23).
ISPR said in a press release that during the visit, he will have a courtesy call on the Commander of the Royal Saudi Land Forces, Chief of General Staff of the Royal Saudi Armed Forces, and senior military and civilian officials. During the meeting, he will discuss various issues of training and bilateral cooperation between the armies of the two countries.
General Shafiuddin Ahmed will also visit the Armed Forces Staff College of Saudi Arabia. After performing the holy Umrah, he will return to the country on May 28.
