Dhaka Bureau: 3 thousand 879 pilgrims from Bangladesh have arrived in Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj. On Monday (May 22) at midnight, airlines carrying pilgrims, the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, and the Hajj Office posted this information on the Hajj portal.

According to the Hajj Office, out of 3,879 pilgrims who went to Saudi Arabia, 1,656 arrived under government management and 2,223 under private management.

The first flight of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia started on May 21. The last flight to Saudi Arabia is on June 22.

1 lakh, 27 thousand, and 198 people from Bangladesh were supposed to go for Hajj this year. But due to the high cost of Hajj this time, the government has completed the overall preparations for Hajj, leaving about 3,500 quotas vacant.

Biman Bangladesh will take 61 thousand passengers on 162 flights this time. Apart from this, Flynas Airlines will carry 20,000 passengers in 53 flights, and 41,000 passengers will be transported by Saudi Airlines in 113 flights.
