Dhaka Bureau: Several organizations, including the National Disaster Center and the Fire Service, have launched emergency service numbers to deal with Cyclone Mokha. The National Disaster Response Coordination Center has been ordered to be kept open 24 hours a day by the secretariat to monitor the situation across the country to deal with Cyclone Mokha. The National Disaster Center hotline numbers for disaster management are 55101115 and 55101217.
Besides, the fire service and civil defense are ready. Fire Service or their hotline number, 16163, for any emergency services. The toll-free number 1090 is available for early warning of disasters.
According to the information provided by the Fire Service and Civil Defense, the leave of all officers of 149 fire stations in 19 coastal districts has been cancelled. Besides, the hotline number of the Cox’s Bazar Disaster Management Control Room is 0187-2615132.
On the other hand, Chittagong City Corporation has opened a control room to deal with this cyclone. Chittagong residents will get all kinds of information and services related to the cyclone on this hotline number: 023333630739.
To deal with cyclone Mokha, the Ministry of Water Resources and the Water Development Board have opened a control room in the Pani Bhaban. Through this, any emergency services and all types of information services related to the cyclone will be available. Control room numbers are: 01318-234560 and 01775-480075.
388 shelters and around 7,000 volunteers have been deployed to deal with Cyclone Mokha. The Chittagong Port Authority is making preparations by monitoring its movement.
Thousands of volunteer teams are ready in vulnerable areas to deal with Cyclone Mokha. Apart from this, the medical team has been formed, and the administration is active in the field with all kinds of cooperation.
