Dhaka Bureau: The announcement of the new price of liquefied natural gas (LPG) at the consumer level will be made on Tuesday, May 2 Tuesday, May 2. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) will announce the new rate at 2.30 p.m. today.
Earlier, in April, BERC had reduced the price of a 12-kg LPG cylinder from Tk 1,422 to Tk 244 to Tk 1,178 at the consumer level.
The announcement said that the price of private LPG at retail points at the consumer level has been fixed at 98.17 paise per kg, inclusive of VAT. Besides, the price of private LPG supplied in liquid form in a reticulated system has been fixed at 94 taka and 94 paisa per kg, including Musak.
