Entertainment Desk: Rafiyat Rashid Mithila, a popular actress of Bengali descent, said that marrying Tahsan at a young age was the biggest mistake of my life; I never made such a comment.
Mithila said the news was based on her comments made at an event a few years ago, and what she had said was misrepresented.
Mithila also clarified what she said in the program: ‘I said—it is not right to marry girls at a young age. I made a mistake by marrying so young. Probably said these words on a YouTube channel during COVID.’
He also said, ‘When I got married, I was a third-year student of political science at Dhaka University, aged 23. Now grown up, learned to understand. Now I think I really shouldn’t have gotten married at the age of 23 as a student.
Mithila says, Why did you say that I have many female fans? Many people think of me as a role model because I say these things to them. I would still say that generally all girls should finish their education and get married on their own. Because, in our society, the path of girls is still not smooth.
Incidentally, Mithila married Tahsan in 2006. Then, in 2017, they ended their long, 11-year marriage. After nearly two years of divorce with Tahsan, Mithila married Tollywood director Srijit Mukherjee in December 2019.
