Munshiganj Correspondent: Architect Imtiaz was killed because he refused to pay. The mastermind of the case, Faisal alias Arafat, stated this in his confessional statement in court. On Monday (April 3), Arafat was produced in the Munshiganj Senior Judicial Magistrate’s Court, and he gave this statement.
Munshiganj Detective Police (DB) OC Abul Kalam Azad confirmed this information and said that 4 of the 5 accused in the Imtiaz murder case have been arrested after the arrest of Arafat. All who have given a confession under Section 164
Earlier, Munshiganj Detective Police (DB) conducted a special operation on the night of March 29 and arrested Arafat from Kotwali in Barisal.
It is known that Asif, a member of a circle, met architect Imtiaz Mohammad Bhuiyar (47) through the chatting app. On March 7, Asif called Imtiaz on his mobile phone to a house in Kala Bagan. Arafat, Munna, and Megh were already there. They all beat him for money by trapping him in homosexuality. At one stage, Imtiaz died.
On March 27, Megh Anwar alias Ehsan, the arrested accused, gave a statement under Section 164 in the case of the murder of Imtiaz of Tejgaon in the capital. Detective Police (DB) said that this information was known from his statement.
Imtiaz Mohammad Bhuiyan’s wife, Fahmida Akhtar, told the media that the day of the incident was our 15th wedding anniversary. I had planned the night prayer for Shabbat. She wants to buy something when she takes the girls to school later in the afternoon. Later, he said from the front of the door, Give me 200 taka. Let’s finish the print job. He took the money and left with the two girls. And I could not think that he would return like this. Fahmida burst into tears saying this. It is premeditated murder. There may be other reasons for this.
The other is accused. Alif, alias Alamin, will be arrested soon. After the murder, the Munshiganj district police recovered the car used for transporting the dead body.
