Mahia Mahi’s husband, Rakib Sarkar, confirmed this information at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
He said that Mahia Mahi was brought to the United Hospital in the capital on Tuesday for a regular checkup. After the checkup, the doctor advised him to be admitted immediately. Mahi was later admitted to United Hospital. Mahi gave birth to a boy at 11:30 p.m. By God’s grace, both mother and son are healthy.
He asked the countrymen for prayers for Mahi and her child.
Before this, Mahi wrote on his Facebook account at around 8:30 p.m., “Everyone pray for us.”
Mahiya Mahi got married for the second time with Gazipur businessman and politician Rakib Sarkar on September 13 last year. Mahiya Mahi married Sylhet businessman Parvez Mahmood Apu in 2016.
