Nurul Islam: Police arrested 1 drug smuggler with 35 thousand Yaba and 1 private car in Lohagara, South Chittagong. On March 25, at 9:30 a.m., a private car was searched on Chittagong Cox’s Bazar Highway in the Jangailla area of Chunati Union of Lohagara Upazila.
During the search, the yaba kept in the private car is found in a special way. Mohammad Jalal (34), the arrested yaba smuggler, is said to be a resident of Cox’s Bazar Sadar.
Atiqur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Lohagara police station, said that based on secret information, the private car heading towards Chittagong city was stopped in the Jangailla area. At one stage of the search, the yaba was found in a special way in the oil tank under the passenger seat of the car. The detained person admitted in police interrogation that Yaba was going to Chittagong from Cox’s Bazar.
Among others in the raid were SI Mahfuzur Rahman of Lohagara police station and the allied forces. In this regard, a regular case has been registered at the Lohagara police station.
