Prime Minister’s proposal to India to use Chittagong-Sylhet port

Dhaka Bureau: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has proposed the use of Chittagong sea port and Sylhet land port to India for mutual benefit, emphasizing strengthening regional communication to increase trade and commerce. He said this during the meeting of the Governing Council of the India Foundation with Ram Madhav and the Prime Minister at Ganabhaban on Sunday (March 19).

The Prime Minister said, “India can use our Chittagong and Sylhet ports if it wants.” After the meeting, the Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary, KM Shakhawat Moon, briefed the reporters.

Sheikh Hasina said that increasing communication in this region will help increase people-to-people communication. The Prime Minister conveyed his greetings to the Prime Minister of India through Ram Madhav.

At this time, Ram Madhav praised the outstanding socio-economic development of Bangladesh under the unique leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and said, “Bangladesh and India have excellent friendly relations, and I hope that these relations will continue in the future.”
