Own Correspondent: Fire broke out in a cotton godown in Sitakunda. Five units of fire service from two stations are working to control the fire.
The incident took place on Saturday (March 11) near the Chhota Kumira Namson container depot of the upazila. The subject is Senior Station Officer Sultan Mahmood of Kumira Fire Service.
Sultan Mahmud said fire control work is going on. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
Earlier, on March 4, an explosion occurred at the Seema Oxygen Plant in the Kadmarsul area of Sitakunda Upazila. On receiving information, fire service personnel reached the spot and brought the fire under control around 5:40 p.m. So far, six people have been killed and 33 injured in the explosion.
