DHAKA BUREAU: Sometime after takeoff, a wheel of a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Kolkata to Dhaka suffered a crack in mid-air.
The incident took place on Monday morning (March 6) on the BG-392 flight. However, the plane managed to land safely at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) International Airport Executive Director Group Captain Mohammad Kamrul Islam confirmed this.
He said that Biman flight BG 392 from Kolkata was returning to Dhaka in the morning. While landing at Shahjalal International Airport at 10:05 am, one of the rear wheels burst.
Mohammad Kamrul Islam said that although the tire burst, there was no damage or casualty due to the skill of the pilot and other rear wheels.
The Shahjalal airport authority said that there were 72 passengers in the plane.
