Dhaka Bureau: Derek H. Scholey, Senior Advisor to the US Secretary of State and Councilor of the State Department, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
On Wednesday morning (February 15), he met at Ganobhaban.
Earlier this morning, Foreign Secretary Masoud bin Momen met with Derek Scholl at a hotel in the capital. In the meeting, which lasted about an hour, issues related to the interests of the two countries were discussed. The Rohingya issue was also discussed. Apart from that, military contracts and human rights are said to be discussed.
Incidentally, Derek Scholey arrived in Dhaka on Tuesday evening for a two-day visit. Foreign Secretary Masood bin Momen welcomed him.
