Meanwhile, Advocate Muhammad Hasan Ali Chowdhury and Awami Gharna general secretary candidate Advocate Bazlur Rashid are contesting as general secretary candidates from Bangladesh Nationalist Lawyers Forum.

On the occasion of Chittagong District Lawyers Association Election 2023, Advocate Muhammad Hasan Ali Chowdhury was nominated by the Bangladesh Nationalist Lawyers Forum Board to be elected as General Secretary from among the 6 candidates seeking nomination for the post of General Secretary from the Lawyers Union Parishad through party voting. On November 14, the final list of candidates was published by the Lawyers Union Parishad.
It is to be noted that he served as Deputy General Secretary in the selected committee of the District Bar Association in 2017. He is serving as General Secretary of Bangladesh Nationalist Lawyers Forum.
During his tenure as Deputy General of the District Bar Association in 2017, Bar and Lawyer Bandhav performed many developmental tasks.
