Dhaka Bureau: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that development was possible because there was democracy in the country. Without this trend, it would not have developed so much. Today, we are a digital Bangladesh.
He said this in the speech of the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of 11 projects of the Ministry of Public Works on Monday (January 30).
The prime minister said, “We are working for the overall development of the country and the people.” People voted the Awami League to power in the 2014 and 2018 elections due to the development of the Awami League government. People will see development if the democratic process continues.
He also said that today’s Bangladesh is a digital Bangladesh. Bangladesh in the satellite era. By building nuclear power plants, we have been able to connect with nuclear power. We are not making nuclear bombs, but we are making electricity. At least we managed to do that and join the nuclear club.
Sheikh Hasina said that the dream of the father of the nation was to free the people from deprivation, to build a hunger- and poverty-free Bangladesh, and to make the people of Bangladesh prosperous and dignified in the court of the world.
Highlighting the development activities, he said that the development of Bangladesh is not only socio-economic development; the Awami League is also working to protect the natural environment.
