Rajshahi’s field is bursting at the seams

Rajshahi Correspondent: Awami League leaders and activists marched on the historic madrasa grounds of Rajshahi metropolis. The meeting place was filled to the brim. Local leaders and workers are already giving speeches there. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address the public meeting as the chief guest.

The public meeting officially started at around noon on Sunday (January 29). Later, the local leaders started speaking.

Meanwhile, since morning, people have been pouring into Rajshahi. Leaders and supporters of the Awami League came from all districts of the division to listen to the prime minister’s speech. They are still coming to public meetings by various vehicles, including train, bus, and Laguna.

Party leaders hired eight special trains for the rally. These trains will run on the Rajshahi-Natore, Rajshahi-Jaipurhat, Rajshahi-Santahar, Rajshahi-Dhalarchar, and Rajshahi-Sirajganj routes all day today.

Incidentally, Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina is attending a public meeting for the first time in the new year after the 22nd National Conference of the Awami League. Earlier on February 22, 2018, Sheikh Hasina asked the crowd to vote for the victory of the boat in the public meeting organized by the district and metropolitan Awami League at this historic Madrasa Maidan in Rajshahi. Besides, he attended Awami League public meetings in Bagmara, Rajshahi, on September 5, 2013, and Charghat, on February 8, 2014. On September 14, 2017, the Awami League president appeared at a large public meeting in Rajshahi, Haryana.
