Rumors have been flying for a few days now that Vijay-Sangita’s 23-year marriage has broken up. The couple got divorced by mutual consent.
Vijay’s family break-up is now a hot topic in the southern film industry. Indian media Pinkvilla contacted many people from the film industry to find out the truth of this news. But this news is not true. A source told Pinkvilla – ‘The rumors of Vijay-Sangita’s divorce are baseless. I don’t know where this news spread from.
A few days ago, Vijay went to director Atlee’s wife Priya’s baby shower. Recently, the audio launch of Vijay’s next movie ‘Barisu’ took place. Vijay appeared on these two occasions without his wife. It was then, basically, that the divorce rumors came to a head. This is not the end, Vijay’s Wikipedia page also shows his divorce with Sangeetha. Although later they corrected it.
However, explaining the reason why Vijay’s wife was not present at these events, the source said – ‘Vijay’s wife Sangeeta is currently vacationing in the United States with her son and daughter. Soon Vijay will also join them. For which Sangeeta was not present in any of these two programs.

Vijay met Sangeeta while shooting in Chennai in 1996. His blind fan Sangeeta appeared there after hearing about the shooting of this hero. Sangeeta came to India from UK just to meet Vijay; Vijay was fascinated by music after seeing such activities. Later their relationship turned into love.
On August 25, 1999, Vijay-Sangita got married to Satpa. Their son Jason Sanjay was born in 2005. The couple also has a daughter named Divya Sasha.
The latest released movie is ‘Beast’ starring Vijay. The movie ‘Barisu’ is awaiting release. It is directed by Bamsi Peidipalli. Rashmika Mandana is acting opposite Vijay in the movie. The makers have planned to release it across India on January 12.
