Sponsorship for creative work should be increased: Social Welfare Minister

Dhaka Bureau: Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed MP said, creative people are needed to do good work for the welfare of the society. Patronage for creative work should be increased.

The minister said this while addressing as the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony among the winners of the ‘World Cup Story’ program organized by Channel 24 at Times Media Bhavan in Tejgaon in the capital today, centered around the Qatar World Cup football tournament.

The Minister of Social Welfare said that the welfare of the society should be done through creative work. In this case, if the media and others sponsor, these works will be more accelerated.

The minister thanked the authorities of Channel 24 for the organization and said that through their organization of the World Cup, sports lovers got the opportunity to know many unknown stories of World Cup football.
The minister also said that this award will play a role in our national life and the implementation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s initiative to build a digital Bangladesh in the coming days. Social Welfare Minister also commented that this arrangement will help our future generation to organize their lives beautifully.

ACI Fertilizer Director Agronomist Bashir Ahmed was present as a special guest on the occasion. Also present were Channel 24 Executive Director Talat Mamun, Sports Editor Dilu Khandkar, Head of Digital Media Md. Rajiv Khan, Digital Media Joint News Editor Khandaker Mazharul Islam.

It is to be noted that during the World Cup football season, Channel 24 Digital Media readers send in their articles about the game. Those writings are selected and published. At the end of the World Cup, 10 winners were selected by lottery from among the readers.

The winners of the ‘World Cup Story’ competition are Mazharul Islam Shamim (Feni Government College), Shahriar Nasser (Noakhali Science and Technology in Geography), Abu Hanif (Jagannath in Geography) Abdullah Imran (Savar, Dhaka), Mohammad Arif (Dinajpur), Golam Mostafa (Mymensingh). ), Gazi Anis (Dhaka), Nawab Hossain (Jagannath University), Fayyar Mohammad Shaolin (Jahangir Nagar University) and Shahzada Salim Reza (Manikganj).

Later, the Minister distributed prizes to the winners of the World Cup story programme.
