Sukanth Bikash Dhar, Satkania: In Satkania, the police have arrested two people including the owner of the house for molesting a 16-year-old speech-impaired girl domestic worker for asking her to work at home. After filing a case at the police station on Tuesday (January 3) night in this incident, the police arrested them by carrying out raids.
The arrested are the son of deceased Ziabul Hossain of Gwajar Para area of Satkania Municipality. Badshah Mia (55) and Osman Gani (39) son of Ayakub Nabi of Minijhiri area of Banshkhali Saral Union.
According to the statement of the case and local sources, the girl lives with her three brothers and two sisters in a colony in Dohazari area under Chandanish Thana of Chittagong. As her father is sick, the girl with a slight speech impediment provides money to the family by working in people’s homes. Osman Gani was arrested after coming to the colony on January 1 and looking for the maids. After talking with him, he worked in the house of Badsha Mia of Ashek neighborhood of Satkania municipality. Osman Gani came and took him the next morning. Badsha Mia molested her on the same day around 9 pm when there was no one at home. At one point, when the girl started screaming, the king released the girl that day. Osman Gani brought her home again the next day when the girl continued to cry. When she returned home and told her mother about the incident, she told the locals
Osman Gani was arrested and handed over to Chandanish police station. Later, Chandnaish Thana Police informed Satkania Police Station and took Osman Gani into custody and arrested Badsha Miah as well.

Yasir Arafat confirmed the truth of the incident and said that two people including the housekeeper were arrested in the case filed by the girl’s mother. They were produced in court yesterday (Wednesday) morning. The girl has been sent to the court to give a statement under Section 22.
