Kushtia Correspondent: The administration has seized illegal sugar mills and 100 maunds of molasses bars in Kuchiamora Kazipara area of Bahadurpur union in Bheramara, Kushtia. The mobile court imposed a fine of 40 thousand taka on 2 people and seized 100 mana jaggery bars. The seized jaggery bars have been handed over to the citation officer for testing at Darshana Keru & Company’s lab.
It is known that from Tuesday afternoon to night Parshant Bheramara under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Rexona Khatun conducted raids in Kazipara area of Kuchiamora village of Bahadurpur Union.
At this time, he ordered to remove the various equipments used in the preparation of illegal jaggery within 24 hours. Illegal molasses manufacturer fined owner Sujan Sardar 30 thousand rupees. Jaggery preparation wastes soda, hydros, dalda, various powder products. On the other hand, Gani Mia of the same area made different colored jaggery bars and delivered them to Natore through the transport of trolley truck driver Kajol, while the Kushtia DB police seized 220 pitch jaggery bars which are approximately 100. According to the driver Kajal, different equipments are available in Jaggery bar making establishments. The owner of the establishment is absconding. The driver fined Kajol Tk 10,000 through the mobile court.
Bheramara Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Rexona Khatun said that the seized 100 maunds of molasses bars have been handed over to the Commissioner for testing in the laboratory of Keru & Company Bangladesh Limited. Action will be taken against the owner as per rules.
