Dhaka Bureau: The first session of the new year (21st) will be held on January 5. The president called the meeting at 4 pm that day. Abdul Hamid. A press release of the Parliament Secretariat informed that the President has convened this session under the powers given in Clause (1) of Article 72 of the Constitution. Earlier, the 20th session of the Parliament ended on November 6.
There is a constitutional obligation to convene the next session within 60 days of the end of one session.
According to the rules, the President said on the beginning of the session. Abdul Hamid will address the parliament. After that, the parliamentarians will discuss the motion of thanks brought on that speech by the government and opposition members throughout the session. On the opening day of the first session of the year, the President will be greeted with flowers on arrival at Parliament House.
Earlier, the 20th session of the 11th Parliament started on October 30. In this session of only 6 working days, 4 bills were passed. The Prime Minister answered 18 of the 44 questions received for the Prime Minister in the session. A total of 1,13 questions were available for other ministers, of which they answered 439.
