UNO’s husband beaten, 3 Ansar members withdrawn

Bogra Correspondent: 3 Ansar members have been withdrawn on charges of dereliction of duty in the beating of the husband of Sonatala Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sayeda Parveen of Bogra.

Bogra District Ansar Adjutant Firoz Ahmed confirmed the matter on Sunday (October 30) afternoon and said, ‘UNO itself has charged the Ansar members with negligence of duty. Because of which they have been withdrawn from there.

Earlier, UNO’s driver Ferdous Hossain filed a case in the police station on Saturday (October 29) night after making Awami League leader’s son Shamim Hossain the only accused.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sonatala Police Station Saikat Hasan said, “Shamim Hossain and his son Alif were arrested immediately after the incident. Later, when a case was filed in this incident, Shamim was arrested and sent to court on Sunday.

Sonatala Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Saida Parveen said, “Shamim and his son Alif attacked my husband Al Amin in the playground yesterday evening for no reason. He was seriously injured. He will be taken outside Bogra for better treatment.
