2 Rohingya killed in police firing in Cox’s Bazar

Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: An incident of Rohingya terrorists shooting occurred with members of Amord Police Battalion (APBN) at Balukhali Rohingya refugee camp in Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar. During this time, two Rohingyas were killed.

The incident took place at Balukhali camp in Ukhia around 9:30 pm on Friday (December 9). One of the deceased is Salim Ullah (33), son of Mohammad Noor Prakash Yunuch, a dependent of camp number 8, and the identity of the other is yet to be found.

Acknowledging the death of two Rohingyas, Sheikh Mohammad Ali, OC of Ukhia police station, said that 40-50 Rohingya terrorists, along with weapons, were killed by Camp 8 East Head Majhi Md. comes to beat Rafi. On receiving the information, the patrolling team of 8 APBN reached the spot. Meanwhile, the Rohingya terrorists started shooting at the police. Two Rohingya terrorists were killed on the spot when the police fired back in self-defense. 2 country guns and large quantity of ammunition were recovered from the spot.

The Rohingyas said that Arsa people attacked the members of Rohingya terrorist Nabi Hussain group in that camp. There was a massive exchange of fire between the two sides. After receiving the information about the incident, the police reached the spot. Then they opened fire at the police. The police also fired back. At that time, two Rohingya terrorists were shot and killed. The bodies of the deceased have been sent to the mortuary of District Headquarters Hospital.
