Class XI admission application starts today

Dhaka Bureau: The application for admission to class 11 is starting today from Thursday. It will continue till December 15. The results of the selected students of the first stage will be declared on December 31. This time too, applications will be accepted in three rounds. Manual admission application will not be taken from general students except online. The admission process for Class XI will continue from 22nd to 26th January. Class XI will start on February 1. Yesterday, Wednesday, the Ministry of Education issued the admission policy for the 2022-23 academic year of class XI.

Apply Online:
Now you have to apply for Class XI admission on the website (www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd). Application fee for students is Rs.150. A minimum of five and a maximum of ten colleges should be chosen with an application fee of Rs.150. Out of the number of colleges a student applies to, his/her placement in only one college will be decided based on his/her merit, quota and preference. Selected students will have to confirm admission by paying Rs.328.

Application and result release in three steps:
Online application for admission will start on December 8. This phase of application will continue till December 15. Those who have applied for re-verification, if eligible to apply should also apply online within this period.

The first phase of applications will be scrutinized and objections will be disposed of from 18 to 22 December. Applications of students whose re-examination results have changed will be accepted on December 26. Students applying on the same day will get time to change preference. The results of the selected students of the first phase will be published on December 31.

The selection confirmation of the students selected in the first phase will continue from January 1 to January 8.

The second round of applications will be accepted on January 9 and 10. The result of the first migration according to the selection order will be published on January 12. Second phase application result will be declared on the same day. On 13th and 14th of January, the selection confirmation of second phase students will continue.

The third round of applications will be accepted on January 16. The result of the second migration according to the selection order will be published on January 18. The result of the third stage application will be declared on the same day. The selection confirmation of third stage students will be conducted on January 19 and 20. The admission for class 11 will continue from 22nd to 26th January. Class XI classes will start in various colleges and madrasas from February 1.

Quota for admission to XI:
93 percent seats of the college will be open to all and students will be selected on the basis of merit for admission to these seats. 2 percent quota will be reserved for the children of the officers and employees working in the Ministry of Education and subordinate agencies, subject to having the minimum qualification for admission in the educational institutions of metropolitan, divisional and district headquarters. 5 percent of the total seats will be reserved for children and children of freedom fighters.

Priority of students of own institution:
In the case of schools and colleges and similar institutions, the students who have passed from their own institution will get the opportunity of admission on priority basis in their respective departments (Science, Humanities and Business Education) subject to the eligibility prescribed by the institution. After ensuring the admission of the institution’s own students in their respective departments, students should be admitted only in the remaining vacant seats.

College Admission Fee:
The maximum admission fee for Bengali and English versions of MPO-affiliated colleges of Dhaka Metropolitan has been set at Tk 5,000. Admission fee for Bengali and English version colleges in metropolitan areas other than Dhaka will be Tk 3 thousand. The admission fee for two versions of district level colleges is 2 thousand and the admission fee for two versions of upazila level colleges is fixed at 1 thousand 500 taka. In case of non-MPO or partial MPO educational institutions, the development fee, session charge and admission fee has been fixed at 7 thousand 500 taka for colleges in Dhaka metropolitan area. In non-MPO colleges in metropolitan areas other than Dhaka, 5000 Tk for admission in Bengali version and 6000 Tk for admission in English version have been fixed. The admission fee of district level colleges has been fixed at 3000 taka in Bengali version and 4000 taka in English version. And in upazila level colleges, the admission fee has been fixed at 2 thousand 500 taka for Bengali version and 3 thousand taka for English version. Government colleges will charge admission fee as per government guidelines. Colleges should waive fees as far as possible for admission of poor, talented and special needs students.

No initial permission to teach—cannot be admitted to an institution:
Such colleges or madrasas which have permission to set up but do not have initial permission to teach cannot admit students under any circumstances. Students may not be admitted to an unauthorized campus and an unauthorized subject in an accredited college-equivalent institution with primary permission to teach.

Failure to comply with the policy will result in cancellation of permission, accreditation and MPO to teach in the institution. In the case of government colleges, it is mentioned in the policy that action will be taken as per rules.
