Dhaka Bureau: The railway authorities are going to make major changes in the train schedule in the beginning of 2023 in order to ensure the convenience of passenger movement, avoid schedule disruptions and increase revenue. The authorities have already started working on the new schedule.
Bangladesh Railway Additional Director General (Operation) Sardar Shahadat Ali said that the new schedule will be finalized by next January.
He also said that they are considering several factors including passenger convenience in determining the new schedule. In addition to reducing the inconvenience of passengers returning home late at night, it will be ensured that multiple trains in the same region are not stopped on the same day. At the same time, how to increase the income by arranging train schedules at convenient times for passengers is also being seen, he said.
