From 10 am, thousands of leaders and activists from different areas of Chittagong district and metropolis were seen coming to the rally venue. From 11 am City Polo Ground Entrance, Tiger Pass Junction, Lalkhan Bazar, Dampara, GEC. Crowds of people have been noticed from various areas including Gate number two, New Market, Agrabad.
Leaders and activists of Awami League from different upazilas of Chittagong wearing colorful t-shirts and playing musical instruments came and took positions around the meeting place. Large processions continue to gather at the city’s CRB, Old Railway Station, Tigerpass. The streets and streets of Chittagong are full of slogans.
Lakhs of leaders and activists from different upazilas of Chittagong district Raujan, Rangunia, Hathazari, Fatikchari, Mirsrai, Sitakunda, Boalkhali, Banshkhali, Karnaphuli, Padua, Chandanish, Satkania, Dohazari, Chakaria, Cox’s Bazar, Ukhia, Rangamati, Khagrachari, Bandarban and other upazilas joined the public meeting of the Prime Minister.

Chittagong Metropolitan Awami League General Secretary AJM Nashir Uddin said that today’s public meeting of the Prime Minister at Polo Ground will be the biggest public meeting in recent memory. At least 1 million people will gather in this rally. Already the whole public meeting has turned into a sea of people.
Earlier today (Sunday) at around 9 am, the law and order forces opened the main gate to the polo ground. After crossing the tight security checkpoint, the activists started entering the public meeting place. Apart from the men, thousands of women also took a stand in the field in the intense heat of the sun.
