The Crime Desk: The 2025 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent exams are starting simultaneously across the country today.
The theoretical exam will be held from 10 am to 1 pm on Thursday (April 10). The theoretical part of the exam will continue until May 13, while the practical exam will be held from May 15 to 22.
This year, a total of 19 lakh 28 thousand 181 students are participating in the exam. In order to conduct the exam in a fair environment, it has been decided to close all types of coaching centers in the country from April 10 to May 13.
In a meeting of the Monitoring and Law and Order Committee formed at the national level, it was decided that the government will take effective steps to prevent rumors of question paper leaks. Along with this, measures will also be taken to keep photocopy machines closed around the centers on the exam days.
According to sources in the Ministry of Education, the total number of candidates under the nine general education boards this year is 1,490,142. Of these, 701,538 are male students and 788,604 are female students. The number of examination centers is 2,291, and the number of institutions is 18,084.
The total number of examinees under the Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board is 294,726. Of these, 150,893 are male students and 143,833 are female students.
The number of examination centers is 725, and the number of institutions is 9,063. The total number of examinees under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board is 143,313. Of these, 18,385 are male students and 34,928 are female students.
