The Crime Desk: Miscreants hacked Krishak Dal leader Md. Nasir Uddin (48) to death in Sitakunda upazila. The incident took place on Wednesday (March 26) in Hatilota Chararkul area of Barabkunda union of the upazila.
Nasir was the general secretary of Sitakunda Upazila Krishak Dal.
According to local sources, miscreants who had been waiting for him on his way out of his house after iftar on Wednesday evening, slashed Krishak Dal leader Nasir from behind with a sharp weapon, seriously injuring him, causing him to die on the spot.
Chittagong’s Sitakunda Circle Additional Superintendent of Police ABM Nahian Bari confirmed the murder and said that the police have recovered the body and sent it to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. Legal action will be taken after investigating the incident.
