Lohagara Representative: A preparatory meeting was held at the initiative of Lohagara Upazila Administration to celebrate Martyr Intellectuals Day and Great Victory Day properly. The meeting was organized at the Upazila Parishad conference room on Thursday, December 1 at 11 o’clock. Upazila executive officer Sharif Uliah presided over the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, respect was paid to the souls of all martyrs including Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Various programs have been taken in the preparatory meeting to observe Martyr Intellectuals Day on December 14 and Great Victory Day on December 16. A strong committee was formed by convening Lohagara Upazila Nirbahi Officer to implement the adopted program. Also, 14 more sub-committees were formed to properly implement the programs and proposals adopted in the meeting.
Upazila administration officer in-charge Atiqur Rahman, upazila freedom fighter commander Aktar Ahmad Sikdar, upazila agriculture officer Monirul Islam, primary teacher officer Akram Hossain, secondary education officer Nurul Islam and various officials of the upazila administration, representatives of freedom fighters, journalist representatives and various others were present in this preparatory meeting of the upazila administration.
