The Crime Desk: Four people were killed in a gas cylinder explosion in a collision between a bus and an ambulance in Savar. The accident occurred in the Police Town area of the Dhaka-Aricha highway at around 2 am on Thursday (January 9).
Fire Service officials said that after the collision between the ambulance and two moving buses, the gas cylinder exploded and caught fire. Four people in the ambulance were burnt to death.
Savar Fire Service firefighter Rubel said that they quickly reached the spot after receiving information about the fire at 2 am. Later, the fire was brought under control at 2:50 am.
Savar Highway Police Station In-charge Saugatul Alam said, ‘Initially, it has been reported that four people in the ambulance have died. Investigation is underway; more details are being sought.’
