Chakaria Correspondent: Former Chakaria Upazila Parishad Chairman and Awami League leader Fazlul Karim Sayedee has been arrested.
A RAB team arrested him from the Mahipal area of Feni on Friday evening while he was on his way from Chittagong to Dhaka in a private car.
After that, he was brought to Cox’s Bazar that night, and Sayedee was handed over to the Chakaria Police Station on Saturday afternoon.
Chakaria Police Station Police Inspector (Investigation) Arup Kumar Chowdhury said, After being arrested by RAB, former Chakaria Upazila Parishad Chairman Fazlul Karim Sayedee was handed over to the police station. After that, he was shown arrested in three cases.
The police inspector (investigation) also said, Sayedee is an accused in these cases, and these cases were registered with the police station after August 5. Among them, one murder case, one attempted murder case, assault and looting, and a case filed under the Special Powers Act. He has been handed over to the Upazila Senior Judicial Magistrate Court after being arrested in these cases.
