The Crime Desk: No foreign national will be allowed to stay in Bangladesh illegally, said Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury. Without naming any country, he said that they have information that citizens of many countries are staying in Bangladesh illegally. However, he mentioned that he does not have the information about how many foreigners are currently staying in Bangladesh.

He made these remarks after a meeting on law and order on the occasion of Christmas and Thirty-First Night at the conference room of the Home Ministry at the Secretariat on Sunday (December 8).

The Home Affairs Advisor said that there was a meeting of the discipline committee on the occasion of Christmas on December 25 and the Thirty-First Night on December 31. During this time, they discussed the law and order situation so that they could celebrate the event smoothly.

Commenting on the fact that there is some chaos among the youth on the Thirty-First Night, he said that general liquor bars will be closed on that day. Fireworks and lanterns have also been banned.

Stating that the BGB is on alert in the entire border area of the country, Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that no illegal infiltration will be tolerated at the border. The Home Affairs Advisor also commented that spreading true news will put a damper on false news. He said that there was no major problem at the border.
