Patia Correspondent: Nephew stabbed to death by uncle over dispute over money owed in Patia. The incident took place in Hajipara of Ward No. 9 of Haidgaon Union of Upazila on Saturday night.
The deceased’s name is Md. Rashed Prakash Russell (23). Russell’s uncle Jalal Uddin (40) has been absconding since the murder.
It is known that around 10 o’clock on Saturday night in Hajipara village of Ward No. 9 of Haidgao Union of Patia Upazila, Nephew Russell came to his house and had an argument with uncle Jalal Uddin. At one point, uncle Jalal got angry and stole Russell’s neck and hit him from both sides. Then he ran away. Later, when the injured Russell was brought to the Patia Upazila Health Complex in a coma, the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Nasir, another uncle of the deceased, said that after the condition report of his nephew’s body, it has been sent to Chamek Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Patia police station OC Abu Zayed Muhammad Nazmun Noor said that an operation is underway to arrest the killer in the incident.
