Rangamati Representative: From Rangamati Sonali Bank Building. The police recovered the hanging body of a bank officer named Rafiqul Islam (50). Kotwali police station in Rangamati recovered the body on Sunday evening. It is reported that Rafiqul Islam is the Senior Principal Officer of the New Court Building Branch of Sonali Bank PLC Rangamati District City.
His house is in Bangalhalia Union of Rajasthanli Upazila of Rangamati. Due to his job, he lived in a room on the fourth floor of the bank building. He has been working in this branch for the past one and a half years. Initially, the bank officials said that Rafiqul Islam was mentally depressed. He had a career till 2033. He did not come down again after going up to the fourth floor from the bank to eat at noon on Sunday. It is believed that the suicide occurred between 2 pm and 4 pm.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Rupak Karmakar of Rangamati Kotwali police station is preparing the condition report of the dead body at the spot. He said that the body will be recovered from the hanging state and taken to the morgue. It will be handed over to the family after the post-mortem is completed today.
Police Station OC Saheed Uddin said that the body was recovered and sent for autopsy. The actual cause of the incident will be known after the autopsy.
