Mirsarai correspondent: Three people, including a woman and a newborn, were killed on the spot when a corn-laden truck hit a CNG-powered autorickshaw parked in Mirsarai. The accident took place on Tuesday (October 15) at 1:00 p.m. at the Khiyachhara Jharna road area of Bartakiya on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway.
Imam Hossain Patwari, station officer of Mirsarai Fire Service, said that three people, including a woman and a newborn, were killed on the spot when a truck loaded with corn hit them from behind while standing in the Bartakia area of the Dhaka-Chittagong highway.
The deceased are Abul Kalam’s wife Nurjahan Begum (45), Abul Kalam’s daughter Kajal Rekha (22) and her six-month-old son Mohammad Anas of Dakshin Baga Chatar area of Mahanagar in Sitakunda Upazila. The injured have not been identified.
Sohel Sarkar, in charge of Zorarganj Highway Police Outpost, said that the bodies of the victims of the accident have been taken to the Upazila Health Complex (Mustannagar Hospital). Their relatives will actually be explained to them. I heard the news. The vehicle was recovered from the spot and taken to the police station.
