Rangpur Correspondent: The university authority has given a job to Sumi Khatun, the younger sister of Shaheed Abu Saeed, a student of the English Department of Begum Rokeya University who died in the anti-discrimination movement.
On Wednesday (October 9) afternoon, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr. Md. Shawkat Ali, handed over the appointment letter to Sumi Khatun for the post of seminar attendant.
At this time, the professor in charge is the registrar of the university. Md. Two brothers of martyr Abu Saeed were present along with Tajul Islam.
It should be noted that on July 16, police, Chhatra League and Jubo League leaders, and activists clashed with students in front of Damate Berobi, an anti-discrimination student movement. At that time, when Abu Saeed, a student and one of the coordinators of Berobi, protested, the police shot at him from close range. Abu Saeed died on the spot, which later turned into a mass uprising.
