The Crime Desk: Dhaka University (DU) Public Administration Department Professor Dr. Mobashwer Monem has been appointed as the new Chairman of Bangladesh Public Works Commission (PSC).
A notification was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday (Oct. 9) appointing him for five years.
Earlier, yesterday PSC Chairman Md. 12 members of the commission, including Sohrab Hossain, submitted their resignations. Two members, Helaluddin Ahmad and Moha, until noon today. Shafiqul Islam did not resign.
In today’s announcement, it was informed that the President, Professor Dr. Mobashwer Monem, was appointed as Chairman of the Bangladesh Public Works Commission.
It also informed that he will continue as the President of Bangladesh Public Works Commission for a period of 5 years from the date of assumption of office or until he attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
Among these, Md. Suzayet Ullah, Dr. Md. Nazmul Amin Majumder, Dr. Md. Aminul Islam, and Dr. Nurul Qadir have been appointed as members of PSC.
They shall hold office as members for five years from the date of assumption of office or till the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier, the notification said.
