Taapsee Tabassum was ordered to appear in court

The Crime Desk: The court has issued a summons in a defamation case against the suspended Assistant Commissioner Taapsee Tabassum Urmi for allegedly making adverse comments about Abu Saeed, who died in the anti-discrimination movement. He has been ordered to appear in court on November 28.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Zakir Hossain court gave this order on Tuesday (October 8).

Prior to this, at noon on this day, the higher council member and media coordinator of the People’s Rights Council, Abu Hanif, filed the case as the plaintiff. After taking the statement of the plaintiff, the court awaited the order. Later in the afternoon, the court took cognizance of the case and gave this order.

According to the complaint of the case, Taapsee Tabassum made a post on Facebook on October 5. There he is, Abu Saeed, the chief adviser of the interim government. The Nobel-winning economist Dr. Muhammad made adverse comments about Yunus.
