The Crime Desk: Former Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Affairs Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury got bail in all 6 cases. On Tuesday (October 8) at 6:27 pm, he was released from the custody of the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court.
Earlier, after the hearing, the court of Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan granted bail to Saber Hossain Chowdhury in 4 cases of Khilgaon police station. Besides, Judge Ziadur Rahman ordered his bail in two cases of Paltan police station.
These include two murder and two attempted murder cases of Khilgaon police station. And Saber Hossain Chowdhury got bail in two murder cases at Paltan police station.
Morshed Alam Shaheen, lawyer for the accused, said that the court granted bail in all 6 cases filed against Saber Hossain Chowdhury. Being a former Member of Parliament and President of the Interparliament, the court granted him bail on sick grounds.
Earlier, the court granted Saber Hossain Chowdhury’s 5-day remand last Monday. He was remanded in the case of the murder of Maqbool of the Paltan police station.
Last Sunday (October 6) afternoon, Saber Hossain Chowdhury was arrested from the Gulshan area of the capital. A team of the Intelligence Branch (DB) conducted a raid at his Gulshan residence and arrested him.
