City Reporter: Chittagong College authorities have announced a ban on all kinds of political activities, processions, meetings, and gatherings. The decision was taken at the 154th emergency meeting of the academic council of the institution on Tuesday (October 1).
The matter was confirmed by Professor Mohammad Mojahedul Islam Chowdhury, Principal of Chittagong College.
He said, “College authorities took this decision to protect the fair environment of college education.”
Incidentally, the students of Chittagong College held a sit-in program on the campus on September 29, including a five-point demand to stop student politics. Hundreds of students of the college held this stand program last Sunday under the banner of the anti-discrimination student movement, Chittagong College.
