The Crime Desk: Interim Government Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus left New York for Dhaka after attending the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly and other high-level bilateral meetings and events.
Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said a Qatar Airways commercial flight carrying the Chief Adviser and his entourage left New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport for Dhaka at 9:30 pm local time on Friday (September 27). The flight is expected to land at Dhaka Shahjalal International Airport on September 29 at 2:15 PM Bangladesh time.
Shafiqul Alam said this was the most successful visit of any head of government of Bangladesh to attend the session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Dr. Muhammad Yunus met with US President Joe Biden and heads of governments and states of 12 countries and heads of various international organizations and participated in 40 high-level meetings on the sidelines. The extensive activities of the Chief Adviser during the visit are expected to contribute greatly to advancing economic and diplomatic relations and partnerships with Bangladesh in the international world.
