The World Bank will give a loan of 3.5 billion dollars for the reform of Bangladesh.

The Crime Desk: The World Bank will provide 3.5 billion dollar loan assistance to Bangladesh for financial sector reform. World Bank President Ajay Banga held a meeting with Professor Yunus, chief advisor to the Bangladesh government, on Wednesday (September 25) at noon New York time.

In the meeting, the World Bank promised to provide this loan assistance. At that time, he announced to give a loan of 3.5 billion dollars, or about 42 thousand crore taka, on easy terms with the help of the reform program taken by the interim government for the reconstruction of Bangladesh.

Out of this, about 24 thousand crore rupees are being given newly. And 18 thousand crore rupees will be given from the previous loan assistance to the reform sector of Bangladesh reconstruction. Dr. in the meeting. Yunus seeks more World Bank support for his Niwa reform work.

The chief adviser’s press wing said that the president of the World Bank announced this support in a meeting with the chief adviser of Bangladesh, Professor Muhammad Yunus, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly at the UN headquarters in New York.

World Bank President Ajay Banga, a long-time friend of Professor Yunus, said at least two billion dollars in new loans would be given and another one and a half billion dollars would be recovered from existing programs.

He said the World Bank will support reforms in digitalization, liquidity, energy, power, and transport.

During the meeting, Yunus sought the World Bank’s support for the wide-ranging reforms the interim government had initiated and asked the World Bank to be creative about its lending program.

Meanwhile, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, the chief advisor, Dr. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, met with Muhammad Yunus. In a half-hour meeting, the Chinese Foreign Minister took over the responsibility of the head of the interim government. Congratulate Yunus.
