Correspondent: Jubo League leader Zahirul Islam Rubel, who shot at the students with two pistols during the anti-discrimination student movement in Rajshahi, has been granted a 5-day remand by the court. Judge Faisal Tarek of Rajshahi Metropolitan Magistrate Court-1 passed the verdict on Sunday (September 15).
Earlier in the morning, Zahirul Islam Rubel was taken to the court. Meanwhile, Boalia police applied for a 10-day remand. After the hearing, the court granted him a 5-day remand application.
Rubel was arrested from Daudkandi in Comilla last Friday (September 13) night. He is accused in the case of the murder of two students in an anti-discrimination student movement in Rajshahi.
